Thanks Ray. If you even have one that i can borrow to use as a buck to cast one that would be real handy.

Cheers...

Here is another possible option Troy.
This after-market mod is designed for a 707 kit, (the Minicraft 1:144 707 to be precise) but, as the 707, 727, and 737 all share the same cross-section and front end, it should not be to much of a problem fitting this to the Revell 737-800 kit, (and this mod really is about about as close to the perfect Boeing narrow body jet front end you will ever get in 1:144).

Troy, I can help out with the clear part from a Daco classic kit, it's kind of an extra in the kit if you want to do a clear cockpit, but the fuselage is moulded with the cockpit as part of it, if that makes sense
anyway it would probably be a slightly different size and shape, so I'm not saying its a drop in fit, far from it, in fact itm will require a lot of surgery, but yours if you want.

From looking at the photos, it continues on past the bottom front of the windows, unlike the Revell, and probably doesn't go back as far, maybe if I get time might be able to drag out a Revell kit, and the canopy and get a photo to show you the difference

Thanks Graeme, Paul is going to drop his around during the week. I'll make a mold from it and pour a resin one. I'm going to paint it and use the wind screen decal so a clear it isn't necessary. Thanks a lot anyway.

That Paul goes alright for a friggen LAME :D
Well Troy, I have checked all 9 Revell 737-800s I have in the stash, but unfortunately none had a spare transparency :( .
If you casting this piece you might wanna do a couple extra. You could sell them on eBay, as Revell leave a little to be desired when it comes to sourcing spare parts from them, (unlike Airfix who are great).

This morning, I got into the office and made a bold of the 737 windscreen piece Paul so generously leant me, and well as some jugs for Ray that Paul had. With a bit of sanding, I got the piece to fit in alright and bogged up the gaps that were made due to my over zealous sanding.

I then set about assembling and fitting the rest of the parts to the model.

I am at a hold point now though. I have to find some suitable clear sprue to fill in the gaps on the wings for the lights. All the clear sprue I've found here so far is too small.

I'm thinking it's best not to attach the engines until after the body and wings are painted. Ray, what colour is a good match for the Boeing grey in the lower half of the fuselage and wings?

Tomorrow though, I start masking this.
