My decals arrived while I was in PNG and they look great. Not sure I could be bothered extending the wings as it won't be that noticeable. Mind you my OCD might have something to say about that

You hang crap on me for not putting seats no one will see into my Hercules, and yet you are not going to extend the wing tips that will be seen? Shame on you Paul, shame. lol

So does this infer that you are in fact going to do the wing-tip extension mod????
Cause if ya do, can you post progress reference shots for us to follow. That would be very valuable for those of us who are going to attempt the Dash 8 100-to-300 conversion.

1/72 stretches work out to be:

FWD: 25.75mm

AFT: 21.87mm

WING: 10.58mm each

came from "Airliner Modeller" Volume 5 Number 3 Issue No.19 June 2000 article "Conversion Corner: DHC-8 Dash 8 Series 300 in 1/72" by Russell Brown (probably worthwhile to quote your sources when posting stuff).

To quote from the article :

"Then last year I received some photographs
and conversion notes from Hans Siegl in
Austria, showing his completed Tyrolean
Airlines 'Sound of Silence' series 300. I have
some contacts at DHC in Toronto, and was
able to obtain some drawings that show the
major modifications. It was just a matter of
fitting the project into my schedule!"

So I wouldn't doubt it's accuracy.

Being an engineer I like to work with the real thing as much as I can. Now there's no doubt that maintenance manuals do have errors but I'm more likely to trust a manufacturers manual. That's just me though
