And this may well have extended the production life of the BAC 111 as it would have put it on an equal footing with the DC-9 and 737

Somehow I missed seeing these earlier. Thanks for posting those Ray. What Book are they from?

Interesting that the 311 had a cross section between that of the DC-10 and Tristar so much bigger than the A300.

By the way when looking at some of the kits and trying to figure out what bit could be used for what I happened to compare the VC10 wing to the A300 wing (or at least the wings from the Airfix kits). Anyone else compared the two and surprised by what you found?

it's fair to say that I have a passing interest in the One-Elven. Especially having had the privilege of crewing her for a number of years.

Thanks for that Ray. I've got the MCA book but haven't purchased any of the others (yet!).

After I had blown up the plans I went out and bought this :

So one of these arrived in the mail last week :

The fuselage compares fairly well to my rudimentary plans so unless anyone has some better plans I'll probably go with these and see how it goes. I think I'm also going to have to use some parts from an A300 kit and a VC-10 kit which isn't so bad as I was using two A300 kits for the A300 Prototype anyway as one kit had some parts missing and I had two VC-10 kits earmarked to do a Super well before the Roden was even thought of by Roden.

Talk about piling on the pressure!

It's only the second Page - remember with my form plastic isn't usually cut until Page 4 or 5 ...

(At least with an Election being called I can tune out for the next five weeks or whatever it is and retreat to the modelling room and maybe get some serious modelling done!)

My personal favourite was the USN COD version, had a 3 view somewhere, can't find it at the moment
