Our Perth neighbour is in the UK at the same time as us. We went to Telford (where the annual model convention thingy happens) to pick him for a few days stay with us. We stayed overnight at Telford before going out to pick him up... on the drive out there there was a sign saying "Air Museum" NEXT EXIT...the car inexplicable went off planned route and we ended up at RAF Cosford.
Oh wow by the end of the visit I have a few "must have"kits on the wish list..chief amongst them all...The Brittania love one in 1/72. I actually got to touch a TSR 2 the Bristol 188, FW190, Valiant and fondled many others ..all in all a wonderful unexpected experience. As for the Jaguars I didnt know they were still flying! Didnt stay as long as I could have will go back one day.
After the museum we went to Iron Bridge to see the first cast iron bridge structure built in 1779. The ruins are of the first iron smelter that used coke instead of coal in the refining process
