Funny I reckon it's an ugly bloody thing. The Real Aeroplane Company must have had 44 Gallon Drums of yellow paint available, a Jungmeister, Jungmann, Ryan and the Magister covered in the stuff, quite boring schemes really

I've got a 1/48 Special Hobby kit IIRC. Sorry to say mine will be yellow too but with a polished cowl. It's actually an RAAF aircraft which is unusual for me as most Aussie aircraft aren't that interesting to me :o :o :o :o :o
Head A/CAM Phantom Phanatic, Shit Stirrer and Karma Bus Driver toot fkn toot

I'm guessing you've never heard of or seen the Huma (Injection) kit?

Well I guess I was imprecise in my meaning.. I did the research and found the kits that were available past and present
the 1/72 offering were rejected on scale / smallness (biplanes in this scale cringeworthy for me) and then looking at sprue pics of the Huma that was a double no-no
I knew about the MPM 1/48 ordered one from modelnerds then was offered one for free (cancelled order) then looked at pictures of sprues and again..no not one I want to do so bearing in mind I actually did not want to buy anymore kits this year (other than a 1/72 Electra and Comet IV) I actually bought a Planet 1/32 Resin Jungmann! Sigh I hate myself... so all night I was thinking how the hell am I going to do the Olympic rings marking on the cowl! I don't want to do "Von Taff" the yellow one.
Incidentally also bought on this trip: a 1/72 Hasegawa T-38 Talon, a 1/72 Hasegawa T-34 Mentor and a Roden 1/72 AN12!
I thought the Talon could be done as a NASA bird but I prefer the Boeing Chase plane Scheme. The T-34 I thought I could do as a Silver and Blue example flown by a blonde lady airline pilot at Oshkosh but then when I got home with my kit I looked at the pics and the markings / decalage are going to be very problematic. Unless I find a good easy civil scheme for this I will probably move it on. Buying kits on holiday is like a junkie taking methadone to counter withdrawals from being away from the bench!

Hey Wally

Where did you get the 1/32 Jungmann? It's out of production isn't it? I've built the 1/32 Jungmeister, but do want to repaint it one day as it's in the very boring Luftwaffe RLM 02 scheme. There was a lot wrong with the shape and profile of the fuselage just after of what would be the engine fire wall. I had to do a shite load of whittling and shaving to get it sort of right. Overall, it was a nice enough build. I've partially re-strung it with Radu Brinzan etched metal flying wires and they look awesome!

Might have to see if I can find a Planet 1/32 Jungmann now damn it!

I reckon you will have great fun with this kit and turn out a beauty! One day I will refurb my Bu-133.

I'd love to somehow do this - Romanian aerobatic champion Alex Papana.

I might need help with decals from someone (Damo?) to do this:

Whats the story with the plane in the last picture? The Olympic rings and Swastika makes my think Berlin Olympics 1936? I can't imagine the Olympic committee allowing the rings to be used for any other purpose with the Swastika involved, other than for historic purposes.

1936 Olympics Troy. Competition aerobatics was a category - man I was born in the wrong era! Google Alex Papana, Ernst Udet, Otto Von Hagenburg (World Champion 1936/37).
