A place for our military aviation modellers to show their stuff. It may not be civil but it still has a home here

#5 for the year

well i have done another....abit out of my comfort zone(but i think Adam is going to help with that.

it's a MPMFw190 s8 1/48 scale
Image
i bought it half done at the sprue finders sale, ive tried to preserve the previous modelers work as much as possible.
it has a tamiya engine fitted as i couldnt fit the supplied CMK resin engine....i might just need to do another Fw190.....it also has what seems to be a clear resin canopy and resin seats with belts.
with encouragement from Adam i tried a little weathering.......well that became alot, but seems to have worked.

i hope i have done the previous modeler proud

from what i was told on Sunday the previous modeler had passed way, that this was the third of his models i had saved...the two previous ones were my RAN fairey fulmar

the other is my Egyptian Miles magister

i just hope i did him proud with his models

Yeah, that looks great. I think I saw this one already on Facebook. I have this kit, but am also working on (ahem - mega-stalled) a conversion in 1/32 scale. I've always been fascinated with this particular Frankenstein Focke-Wulf.

Dude, you've done such a great job, there is no choice but to continue right! If the whole camo thing is a concern, there was arguably a all red Ta-152 and of course you could do a all silver 262.

Kevin of course built a beautiful Czech 262 in all silver painted finish as they were post war.
