Just having a read on Wikipedia (yeah I know it's not always accurate) and it seems there were a couple of names then and even applied retrospectively to the Entebbe Operation :

"Operation Entebbe" hence the OP EBB abbreviations.

"Operation Thunderbolt" which was the Military Codename so if any Swedes were involved we could have called OP VIGGEN (yeah too many letters!).

and retrospectively

"Operation Jonathon" in deference to Yonatan Netanyahu the Unit's Leader killed in the Operation and brother of current Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu which means we could also call it OP VYN or OP BNB?

Lots of options ...

Further research has indicated that the F-16s were configured with the following:
2 x Mk 84 GP low drag bombs
2 x AIM-9Js
2 x 370 Gal wing jugs
1 x 300 Gal centre-line jug
Does any 1:144th F-16 kit come close to supplying these??? , or are they available from AM suppliers???

Thanks very much for the above post 330. It was very informative.
After careful consideration of all the options I have bought a Minicraft F-16A to park behind the 707 Tanker, primarily because it comes with an Israeli decal option. Not quiet sure what ordnance comes with the kit.....I guess we will see.

Actually, it doesn't look that bad. The general shape is OK for what it is. I think she will suit my purpose without to much drama. I will just have to find some appropriate ordnance for her.

Just think that if one paid $25 for an Airfix Valiant on Monday by simple extrapolation a Revell 1:144 F-16C probably went for a gold coin or two ...

I know OzMods do 1/144 weapons sets, not sure which ones though. Check them out.

Looks like the Revell F-1`6C comes with a bunch of weapons
