You can't OOB. Major surgery required. As a example of how bad I am, I've bought a Tamiya F4U-1 kit to rob it of it's flaps - yep, I'm that bad! See how I go, but I'm used to doing major surgery on kits. Why do I do this? No idea - some kind of mental issue I have for sure!
Main reason I'm doing this is that so many photos of this aeroplane show the flaps down on the ground (normally piss-poor airmanship to do this of course, as they can be damaged taxiing meaning a LAME like you gets mad!

) I'm scared of LAME's, as they often charge shit loads of money to fix stuff I've broken!
I'm no expert on Corsairs, but there appears to be a slot on the inner RHS flap for boarding, so flaps down on the ground to assist in that big climb up to the cockpit.
I think I'll start a couple of threads for RB-51 and F2G pic's, so we can all post and share info we find on these amazing aeroplanes - what do you reckon?
