Postby RayS » Wed Apr 27, 2016 11:52 am

Just noticed thate John at Old Models Decal (NZ) has released a 1/144 sheet the JetStar Dash 8-300.

I have been in contact with him and he will do a custom sheet in 1/72 on request.

I have put in a request for one. Next print run for him is July.

So if you are interested drop John a line. The 1/144 decal is at the bottom of this page

When I spoke to John and he mentioned had not done the sheet in 1/72 as there is no kit available.

I mentioned that some fuselage plugs may be made so we can build a -300 and he said he would be interested in selling them.

He also mentioned he would also upscale a couple of 1/144 ANZ sheets to 1/72 if these fuselage plugs were available.

Even without the plugs being available it would be a relatively easy "100-to-300" conversion of the existing 1:72 Hobbycraft Dash 8 kit, (after all, Knotty managed to convert the Hobbycraft kit to a Q400  ).
Anyway, I will need one or two of John's JQ Dash 8 sheets in 1:72 in any event.

G'day Tim,
Yeah....these guys do them
http://www.arcair.com/Rev2/1201-1300/re ... ca/00.shtm
http://www.nazca-decals.com/html/nazca-models.htm
And they are pretty nice models.

Welsh Models also do a variety of 1:144 Dash 8s in a number of different colour schemes
http://www.welshmodels.co.uk/SL264.html

And then of course there is the lovely (but $$$), little Platz kit
