Hi Tim

PM sent

for the information of all, I only found out from my local postie, that if an article for postage is not box shaped, then they can't charge the volumetric rate because they can't measure it, they have to revert to the weight system.

For large kits and parcels this results in massive saving, I think TOR's Space Shuttle was $56 something as a kit, but adding some light stuff on the ends, (empty coke cans) makes it so it can't be measured, so it went down to $24.10
Wally got a Heller 707 for just 23.95 postage.
Compared to last year when I sent RayS an Airfix Concorde, which cost a small fortune, this is coming in as a big savings, so if anyone is thinking of sending kits, make your shape irregular, you could save a lot on postage.
;)

Like you, I should be reducing my Treasure (trove). On the other hand, I find that I could make use of another A.310 and a couple of A.330s, if they are still available. Please let me know.

Thanks, Ray! I would never have figured that. Didn't even notice it in fact.
