Der Vlucking Vliegende Hollander 1/72 Heller L1049 Connie

Well! did this one ever fight me to the finish, disaster followed mishap followed.. well you get the drift. The fuselage halves were very hard to put together because they were quite thin and distorted. I ended up chopping off the empennage and rotating it 5 degrees to get a straight fuselage! I have been doing decals and dangly bits all day, tomorrow I will polish it, top coat it maybe dirty it up a little..and adjust the flight pose on the stand and chuck it in the cabinet. Then I can start cleaning up house for my wife's return from her 1 month sojourn in the UK.

Wicked Wally! I think you've even surpassed the mighty Capt. Eric in modelling output in recent times - no mean feat!

Sounds like it's time to get rid of those empty beer boxes, pizza trays and t/away containers, do the mowing and tidy up the house - oh and work through that "list" that all wives give their husbands for odd-jobs to do around the house in their absence (to stop us from getting into trouble). :D

Outstanding stuff!

Cheers

Just beautiful!!! The Connie really was the Concorde of her era, and you have captured her good looks and grace at it's best Wal. As the Qantas Engineers of old used to say......"best three-engined aeroplane ever built".
