Ah Yes! Of course, Though I think I need to find an Electra tail for that one unless it becomes a What If. Something to ponder me thinks.

I have just put an Electra arse-end on mine, (boy....wasn't that a fun job :? ). This particular aircraft is unique in that it is effectively an Electra/Orion hybrid. It was in fact the Orion prototype. Although a P-3A in many respects, it has the Electra arse-end, Electra wings, and Electra cockpit glazing arrangement.
Ray....if you need and Electra arse-end, I think I know where I might be able to get one for you.

Thanks Ray. I will decide what I am doing with this one and let you know. I will be a way for a week (in Mornington as a matter of fact) so I won't have a chance to research it.

Right! now after several days applying decals then antennas undercarriage and doors (shit I hate doing that stuff..heart in mouth all the while!). She is at last able to stand on her own 3 legs... had to take a picture, then a few more touch ups and repairs. I am still waiting for a replacement windscreen which is holding things up a little.
This beastie has been very challenging I must say.. though that is due to my ineptness as much as anything else.

After seeing this I am thinking that mine should be relegated to the dreaded "Curtain Rail of Doom"

Back from my trip south...

Looks great Wally. Time to crack open another P-3 kit I think!

Finally got to finish this with the replacement windscreen coming from Hasegawa in today's post. Another one struck off the bucket list, worked with this aircraft a few times during my career.
