1/32 F-35A kit coming!

Postby Adam the Akrodude » Fri Jan 22, 2016 4:01 pm

I know a few of you guys are true F-35 fans - particularly you HRT Paul! Well, you will be happy to hear that Italeri looks to be first off the rank to produce a 1/32 F-35A. OK Paul, time to sell off some of the hundreds of F-4 kits you have and buy a model of "The Game Changer"!

I may hang out a bit to see if Tamiya or anyone else releases the 35, but I will definitely be buying a 1/32 F-35A at some stage - Italeri or whomever!

Now - just how do I now create time to build all these 1/48 & 1/32 kits I've now amassed? January was supposed to be a quiet month, get some overdue paperwork done, get some jobs done around the house and maybe even get some modelling and flying in - that plan has gone to crap - AARRRGGGGHHHHH! Working for oneself is not conducive to getting time off!

Game changer?      F*&k the F-35 and Italeri's 1/32 kit. Mind you much like the Aztec, you could make a great crash and burn diorama with it. I'll prepare the fireworks :o :o :o :o

Apol's Paul for the malicious baiting I just did. I needed a laugh Friday afternoon and knowing your responses to anything F-35 related are seriously kick ass, I knew you would respond in your tactical nuke style fashion!

How about a diorama with a F-35 run off the end of the runway in the weeds - 'puter takes over and says "I'm sorry Dave, I can't let you take off today. You're a threat to the mission." I could have it end up crashed into RAAF Williamtown car park smashed into the pilot's GT Mustang - all going up in flames. Would you like that?

I have an even better idea. You could do one in Bumf&*kistani Air Force colours. I'm sure the Democratic Republic of Bumf&*kistan have got their moneys worth with their pretty (nah just joking) new TOY. FYI I hear that baby shit brown, vomit green and pus yellow are the closet FS colours you'll need to do the DRBAF camo.

Great idea - I'll really put a lot of thought into your idea Paul - I've always said that you're an ideas guy!

I live for the day that you will admit that the F-35 is an outstanding machine. :D

On a side note, did you see that the A-10 has a stay of execution for at least a couple of years. Still plenty more work for the Hog over in the Great Sandpit it seems. I'm majorly thread drifting my own thread, but the R.O.E in Syria & Iraq is a nightmare - perhaps even worse than what was experienced over Nth Vietnam. There is no lack of airpower. What has been enormously frustrating for aircrews have been these restrictive R.O.E.

And that's perfectly OK because:
a/ Your are a Site Moderator/Administrator :D
and
b/ Some of the best threads I have been a part of, or seen on this or other model forums have been as a direct result of thread drift.
As I have said before....it's know different to a bunch of mates sitting in the pub, (or at the Model Expo lunch table) chatting. As in the pub scenario, a conversation can take many different directions, all the while being completely engaging, positive, educational, and interesting. All hale to the "dreaded" Thread Drift :D
Sorry for the thread drift
