What would look even better is seeing a F-22 tucked behind the Iranian F-4! I wonder if the Iranian F-4 driver this happened to wakes up in a cold sweat about this at night?

Absolutely gorgeous. I'd love to travel to Iran to see these for real but not a real good idea me thinks. I have a 1/32 F-4E to do in these colour. I even bought a 1/72 Hasegawa boxing of this scheme so I could copy and enlarge the decals. The IRIAF F-4E's have the meanest shark's mouth ever bar the Turkish AF. Hey Ray did you click the arrow to the right of that pic? I think you'll like it :)

Re - right clicking that F-4 pic.

Extraordinary that the IRIAF have been able to keep any F-14's flying. Amazing what you can reverse engineer if you have to! It was costing the USN a fortune keeping the 14's flying - can't imagine what it would cost the Iranians - why they don't buy Suk's is a good question. It really says something about the Tomcat that the IRIAF would rather keep them than buy Suk's or MiG's.

Probably a big middle finger to the US as well. Necessity is the mother of all invention I guess. I have a lot of respect for the Iranians (waiting for a black SUV to turn up out the front cos I said that LOL) for what they've achieved keeping these awesome planes in the air. They have some awesome looking colour schemes on a variety of aircraft :)

Yeah....I have a certain respect for the Iranian Air Force. They operate the oldest 747s and some of the youngest 707s still flying. And these big old Boeings just keep soldiering on.
