Ok they have 2 engines, wings and they fly. But that's about where the similarity ends mate. I think you either need more of the drugs you're on or maybe less. Either way you need to stop this silliness     On a more sane note bring on the Iron Maiden 747 \m/ \m/

OK OK - silliness perhaps but please put down the monkey wrench and consider the following.

The wings of the 262 & 737 look so similar to me, both a mildly swept, have underslung podded engines, with L/E slats - they look bloody similar. The 262 is probably only marginally nimbler than the 737 as well from a flying perspective - why, well because their comparative performance is similar.
262 737-100
Wing sweep 18.5 deg 25 deg
Thrust/Weight (t/o weight) 0.25 0.27
Wing loading - t/o weight (Ib/sq ft) 67.18 101.54
Speed (kph) 870 917

Sure the 262 was mildly aerobatic as well. A lightly loaded 737, particularly a new one must be a rocket! So, is the 262 really that far different from a 737-100? Over to you Paul for further discussion. :D
