Amongst other things, I'm a major fan of the "6" and think it is the most beautiful of all military jets. NASA used the 6 for a number of years as we know with one program being the Airborne Lightning Research program - check out what these guys did for their day job! Here's a second video I found which I've never seen before showing propulsion testing, the lighting testing once again plus a "Vortex flap" test on the 6.

I believe NASA's first use of the 6 was with the Mercury 7 astronauts when they started griping about having nothing to fly whilst in training - so NASA organised a 6B for them to play with - nice huh!

Apparently Trumpeter are releasing both an A and a B in 1/48 later in the year :)
