Hey Wayne,
How are ya good sir??
Here is the message that Frank delivered via the ModelArt Facebook page:

Hi Guys, Just thought I would update you on how we are going at the moment. Well, it has been 2 weeks and 6 days since I had my stroke and just over 2 weeks since I left hospital. Have had two weeks of rehab with another couple to go. I have been extremely fortunate in that it was a mild stroke and the effects have been minimal. I am almost 100% physically except for a slight weakness in my right arm and a bit of wooziness when I am on my feet, especially when I am tired. But the powers that be tell me this will resolve in time. However, I can walk, talk, use my right hand to write, type and play the bass and otherwise get around freely so I am very lucky.
On the downside, my balance is not great at the moment and my concentrating span is also minimal so I can only work in fits and starts - it is basically a 15minute work, 30 minute rest cycle. However this too will get better as time goes on.
I'm going to be out of action up until Christmas and as such, as Terry said, we will not be doing a December/January issue but will concentrate on working on the February issue. So please spread this information around if you can. It is impossible for me to advise everyone. I've just got to take it easy for the next few weeks - no stress or worry.
So in summing up, I'm going to be OK but it will take a little time. We may call on some of you out there with specific skills to maybe give us a bit of a hand over the next few months - we will see how we go.
In the meantime, thank you all for your thoughts and prayers - so very much appreciated. I wish you all a very happy, holy, safe and peaceful Christmas and may the new year increase your model production many fold. Cheers....

Hi Ray,

Thanks for letting me know how Frank is going. I know exactly what symptoms he's going through. I also still some have weaknesses on my right side which drive me batty.
I'm still modelling, though at a somewhat snails pace when the mood takes me, but hey it's better than some other people. I always say "there are people who are way worse off than me".

I enjoy reading the antics of some of the guys here on the forum which helps to brighten up the days. Plus I'm still buying kits which I suppose puts me in the optimist class.
My better half tells me all the accumulated damage from my younger years has now caught up with me and the heart and stroke episodes just pulled the pin out of the grenade....like Mark Knopfler sang "Boom like that"

Once again, thanks Ray for the news, I'll ring Frankie and see if he can chat, it'll be like the old boys fractured frangers club.

He put in a couple of hours at the club Xmas party and looked pretty good. He's well on the way to recovery.
