1/72 Ansett Dak decals

I have used this stuff a bit.. I am a bit pissed off with it

+1 for that.... it's not even any use filling nail holes in walls! It does fill the bin nicely though.

My Airfix C-47 turned up today - impressive kit! Look to be a gazillion parts - certainly not the Airfix I knew as a kid! Panel lines are heavy, but I think will be alright after being hit with primer and the "Rub n Buff technique I want to try on it. The Rub n Buff may go directly onto the plastic - not sure yet.

The interior colour is "Humbrol 226" - whatever that is?? Can anyone advise what interior colour a Aussie Dak should have? I'm guessing some light grey?

Adding to this post - I'm amazed I haven't wanted to build a Dak any earlier. Looking at this aeroplane in scale form sure shows off it's beautiful and classic lines.

OK - won't be using that colour. Anyone know whether a light grey interior be the go with a circa 60's Dak? Can't see the travelling public enjoying a lovely Zinc Chromate whatever green -

If you have the doors closed you won't see much inside the cabin anyway so it won't matter what colour you paint it. VH-MMA that I used to work on had a light grey cockpit

We recommend the Airfix kit for our Ingara conversion - sort of a civil (CSIRO) / military hybrid, but other DC-3 kits work fine.

I paint DC-3 interiors matt black and tell people they have full detail inside, even lampshades on the DST model......!!
