and I may as well pick your brain Dylan. Is this shape correct for the wheel well opening? I'm assuming there are no doors apart from the small section that attaches to the strut?

Plus where the horizontal stab meets the vertical, is there a gap between the top of the rudder and the horizontal stab?

Thanks in advance.

Tony

well lets start on the wing...
the landing light is in the wrong position, it should be right next to the nacelle.

the aileron looks funny, there should only be a trim tab on the left one. and the shape looks off.

the aft nacelle parts look too high and narrow. but having said that the overall shape looks good. and it looks like the flaps are right.

now for the nose gear opening...I am pretty sure that it should be symmetrical.

I will do a detailed walkaround this weekend when I am back to work.

and if possible I will scan the maintenance manual with proper dimensions and panel lines.

cheers

Hi Dylan.
Few more questions for you that I can't find online. What color is the bulkhead behind the pilots? Is there anything on there like switches circuit breakers etc? Also the opening between the cockpit and passenger area. Is there a door or is it a permanent opening?
Thanks again.

Thanks Dylan, that picture is perfect.
Bit of an update.
Seats painted with tray tables in the stowed position.

Seats installed. Seats were hand painted and not much care was taken as not much can be seen as the glass is not 100% clear.

looking good Tony.

here is a few more for you.

there is only a small gap between the rudder and the tailcone.

Image

while on the subject of the empenage here is a shot showing the alignment of the surfaces.

Image

now on to the nacelles. with the prop and cowling removed you can get a good sense of the cross section.

Image

this is the hardest part to show. the nacelle tapers slightly inboard as it goes back.

the left wing has an intake for the air conditioning system between the nacelle and fuselage.

Image

the landing light i mentioned before.

Image

this is how a composite prop weathers, most of the wear is towards the tip. the tip of the blade is turning faster then the root, so more paint will erode from it. you can see where the white stripes are, the paint isnt worn through as the parts surrounding them.

Image

and just in case you want some engine reference.
