Yes indeed it was a great show to visit. I've commented over on the Ortenburg-Hobbies post about the show. Great turn out for a small competition with a good range of model types and standards. Smaller shows are great feeders for Model Expo, which could be intimidating for the un-initiated. I'll certainly enter next year. My kids had a great time in the Viscount, 737 and DC-9 cockpits playing "pilots". The Viscount and DC-9 cockpits have some live switches. adding to the fun. It is a very good move making some of these displays "live" and interactive - far more fun for the young and young at heart! It was great to see the Beaufighter again - always such a impressive beast.
Well done to the organisers of the competition and to those who entered - including A/CAM members Troy, Andrew, Kev and Uncle Les. I note you GMH aficionados failed to mention that there was also a Mustang & Shelby car competition right next to the museum!
I only had a bit of a look, but there were some damn fine looking Pony cars! The museum was free of entry charge as part of this dual event - great idea! All in all a great afternoon with the billy lids.
