My new job

Here is a typical day in my new job.....over in the hanger of one of my new clients, crawling all over their jets :D

And here is my loyal and hard-working 2nd-in-charge, Dynamic Crew Training Pty Ltd Group Training Manager ...Miss Marree, (who just loves her Corporate Jets). She is one top chick, and worth her weight in gold.

Nice, so what does your job involve other than hanging around the hangar all day taking pictures of bizjets :D

Ray, could you please tell us what each of those aircraft is. I'm pretty sure the first ones a Hawker 800 or whatever they're called now and i know another ones a Lear but what about the rest ? apart from those 2, these days I can't tell one bizjet from another. A bit like Formula 1 cars. The only way I can tell them apart is by the decals on them.

Hi Ross,
VH-BMW = Hawker 850XP (W)
VH-LEF = Bombardier Challenger 604
VH-LZP = Bombardier Global Express
VH-EXQ = Cessna Citation 680 Sovereign (the flagship of one of our owners)
VH-VLJ = Bombardier Learjet 35A

A hanger full of winged loveliness :D
These days the definition of a "bizjet" can be very broad, and can be anything from a 747-8 or an A380 to a Beechjet 400, and anything in between.
One of our potential clients operate two MD-82s as "Bizjets".

Mmmm! I like ozrbfan. A Howard or BACC exec aircraft from the 1950s if I'm not mistaken. Converted from Lockheed Venturas and from memory some from Lodestars. Some of these had very opulent interiors and all kinds of systems including in one model a system that sensed an engine failure on one engine in the cruise and automatically compensated for this by increasing power on the other engine and feeding in opposite rudder regardless of which engine had failed. I read about these in an Amercian magazine over 20 years ago when there were still quite a number flying in the US.

Also Ray, I love all those beautiful modern aircraft in your photos but I'm a bit of an old stick in the mud and I like old things probably more than more modern ones, but I do like the Hawker 850, it's sort of a modern day Howard in a way in that it started life as something else and evolved into what it is today. Thanks for sharing these with us Ray. I like things of beauty, whether natural or man made.

I hear ya Ross.....that's why if I had the money, my personal jet-of-choice would be a customised-interior 707. I would LOVE one without hush-kits :D , but alas, I wouldn't be allowed to fly it anywhere :(
