I've been to Bathurst four times, both walked and driven around that track numerous times too. Its a great place and the boys and I are planning on going again next year if we can get organized. I love the place. I have a rock from the mountain in my front garden.

I've been a Holden man most of my driving life (we don't talk about the second car I had and lets just leave it at that) and I have just brought a new Holden that I'm still waiting for delivery on. (one month down, 2 more weeks to go) I would have gone another Commodore, but between the cost of the car and fuel, I had to make the economic decision to down size and went with the Malibu CDX. Yes, I know, its an import, but with the only real diving I do being the 40 kms each way to work and back, It's something I had to do.

Here are some of the ol' racers from the museum, which is very well worth a visit.

My personal fav, as my first car was a XA GT "Coup".

Yep, been there.

The Malibu was designed by an Australian, working at Chevrolet, on a European platform and made in South Korea. Its considered a "World Car".

Jeez Troy, any better than that would have been the museum letting you have a fang around the circuit - or at least fire it up!

I remember the 2 years in a row that Bill Brown rolled his Falcons along the armco in almost the same spot both times. He wrote both cars off and I did see the first one at Kloster Ford in Newcastle. If the car hadn't had a roll bar he wouldn't have survived the prang. Ah, Bathurst.

Even at 60 k's, the Dipper is pretty interesting and quite a eye opener! What speed do the racers go through the Dipper I wonder?

Great thread with some great photos lads, (Troy....you have just gone up a notch in "legend" status as far as I am concerned. I would love to sit my arse in one of great racing VK Group As, especially that one!!!!....there are 05 reason why THAT one is really special :D ).
Here is what I fully intend to take around the Mt Panorama one day.

I have this photo sitting on my desk at work, so I never forget what I am striving for.

That Camaro is wicked! Surely GM will be bringing these out here - bloody madness if they don't! The Corvette yes a incredible car, but it's surely a lot more expensive than the Camaro and the Mustang for that matter.
