Your favourite Aviation photos

Postby tor lives » Fri Apr 25, 2014 1:57 pm

OK all you budding aviation photographers out there, here is your chance to be "discovered".
Post your personal favourite aviation photos so that others can enjoy your work. Be it artistic, dynamic, action-packed, or just haunting and provocative...let's see what ya got.
Allow me to open proceedings.

Knotty and I found this once proud, fearsome, and mighty bird laying on her belly all bent, battered, and broken in the high Mojave desert. Given what she was in her glory days as a mighty SAC Warrior, and how she now is, it was very sad and almost tragic to see her like this at the end of her life :( . Just the tumble weeds, the odd scurrying lizard, the Joshua trees, and the desert breeze to now keep her company, (along with two Aussie aerosexuals paying their respects on this occasion).
Long live the mighty Buff!!!

When I first saw her, this song came to mind:

Those desert BUFF photos are fantastic. I modified (damn that over-active part of my brain!) awhile ago and came up with this:

Here's some of mine from the past. Average photographer at best - not from lack of trying! These are mainly Avalon airshow plus some Temora shots when visiting for work once. Mustang formation was over French Island for a mate's father's 80th Birthday. His father used to fly 'em, plus the Meatbox, Sabre then a host of rotary wing stuff. I'll upload some aerobatics stuff and later bore you all with that!

Some excellent stuff there Adam....you certainly do have some aviation photographic artistry about you.
Some really creative photography there capturing the very essence and beauty of aviation in all it's forms.

It was a great day Salty. Plenty of expletives said seeing that Mustang slide out of the murk onto the Archers' wing - like a Great White. Guy Bourke was the 'Stang driver that day. He said the gear unsafe warning horn was blaring the whole time on our wing - he was flying so slow! We were at max power in the Archer. My mate was flying the Archer in lead, me taking photos. He couldn't see his father in the 'Stang until it peeled off from us to straff a ChiCom truck convoy down on French Island!

Lovely wok fellas..
It's hard for me to get used to these changing times... I remember when the air was clean and the sex was dirty..
