Great photos Adam. She truly is a work of art, the perfect combination of form and function.
I love your idea of displaying her at the point of rotate with full re-heat :D ....if anyone can pull that off it will be Capt Eric.

Well I am eagerly watching it make its way across the world via the FedEx tracking system. It just left Prague in the Czech Republic and is expected to be delivered on Wednesday.

Will be quite excited to get stuck into it.

I am thinking of something similar to this:

That would satisfy your penchant for internal detail exposition, shows the nose off nicely, has a feeling of purpose about the stance.. yeah something like that would be sensational... then there's the logistics of getting it to various comps without damage, but let's worry about that after you've built the beast !
Looking forward to this one, I like others here will remember fondly the visit to Oz and the slow passes over the masses (it was a Wednesday arvo in August '75 for me and my vantage point was a second floor balcony in Williamstown.)

Yep, that's the stance I think would show off this beauty the best - rotating into the burning blue with those magnificent wings starting to bite into the air!

This will present many technical challenges - all great stuff to get those creative juices following! Perhaps using a Perspex "plinth" for the tail skid to rest on as It would need to be a tail sitter for this to work.

Go for it Capt!

The model is supposed to be here tomorrow, (16th Sep).

Have watched it via the Fedex tracking system. Czechoslavakia-Germany-France, and now it is transit.

This might be my first Airliner WIP on ACAM!

Eric.

We're all keenly looking forward to following this EPIC WIP! This will be the stuff legends are made off!

What's the length of this model? How/where will you display it? In the not too distant future, you will be able to charge admission to view your beauties I reckon! Hey, maybe this is your retirement plan - I see it now!

Capt Eric's Amazing Aircraft Model World!

OK folks, this is gonna be a big one! Better get in a super size soft drink and pop corn whilst we view this beauty in construction!

Best of British luck on this one ol' boy!

Cheers

Seriously, Adam.
You need to lay off the suction.
It's a little embarrassing for a grown man.

Good luck Eric.
Great choice of kit.
I know you'll do a good job.

I am with you Adam!!!!
I am VERY excited to see this build get under way, and the magic that Capt Eric will no doubt weave with this kit.
Nothing wrong with a bit of raw emotion, excitement, and passion as it relates to your hobby mate :D . Without these key ingredients there would be no point having a hobby.
I would be happy to pay to see Eric's amazing model collection in the "flesh"

Hi guys,

Adam, the model is just over 1.2 Meters long. I am not 100% sure where I will display it at the moment as it certainly wont fit inside my display cabinets. Possibly on top, where it will still be more than visible, or on its own shelf. Especially since I am thinking about posing it just prior to lift off, it will be fairly high as well.

It has now made its way via Czech-Germany-France-China-Singapore and it has just cleared customs in Sydney..... the excitement builds!

I have done a bit more snooping around and have found the following picture which depicts the Aircraft G-BOAC and livery that comes with the kit, in pretty well the pose that I am thinking of displaying the model. What do you guys reckon?

Love it!!!!
What a great picture.....you can almost hear/feel the roar of those four big Olympus engines in full re-heat.
No such thing as a bad picture of the Concorde.
Does the kit come with interior detail???
