Trans Canada Airlines Viscount

Here is an old Vickers Viscount built for a friends father on his retirement from our national airline now known as Air Canada. His original gold wings finish off the piece which was built about 30 years ago.

Very nice model there Barney. That's a lovely colour scheme and with the owner's wings on the base it makes a good gift.

RHB.

Nice work and what a great gift!

Out of interest ,what was the "aluminium" paint used? Just wondering as it looks great.

Cheers

Nice job Barney.
What kit???....Glencoe perhaps.
I too would be interested in knowing what metallic paint was used as it looks very effective.

It was the Glenco kit with the original old decals. As for the aluminum paint, well the grey cells are churning but with the age of the model, it may have been Humbrol enamel applied with a brush.

Over the last few years I have been too lazy to play with the Iwata airbrush and have used a flat Red Sable brush instead.
