I'll be trying to get some work done on te Biele Albatrosy L-39 Albatros this weekend. I wnat to make up the PE gunsight but I'm not particularly looking forward to that job. However, I'll have a go at it and see how I go.

RHB.

Not sure if I'll get any bench time this weekend, as I have two items in the review queue to take care of. However, if I did manage to sneak some time, as well as the Stratocruiser build you guys already know about, I also have my 1/32 Corsair challenge build to push on with:

What you see is the middle section of the lower wing of Trumpeter's F4U-1D kit, atop of which sits a scratch-built cockpit floor combined with pieces from the Verlinden cockpit set. This set is designed for the Revell kit, so lots of surgery is required to make it work in the Trumpeter kit. I told you it was a challenge build! Here's a similar story with the starboard cockpit sidewall:

On a much, much, much smaller scale, here's what's on my bench at this very moment. The two 727-200s are about to enter the paintshop again to be finished off as a couple of Ansett 727s. The two Lightning F.6s are Trumpeter kits about to undergo final inspection before heading off to the paintshop too be be made up as XR770 as it appeared flying with 5Squadron in 1981 and 1984. There's other stuff too that might be on my bench if I had room for them all.

What Troy said!!!
All I have gotten done so far this weekend is the sizing/shaping/dry fitting of an after-market vacform canopy for the JPS Spitty. I HATE vacform canopies, (but I must admit that this one is nice and clear).
Have also "Futured" the Jet Provest canopy to within an inch of it's life and it looks much better for it.

PS: that is a pretty impressive Corsair Kev......she would make a great Reno Racer :D

This is the Revell 1:48 scale Kit and it is a beauty. The RCAF took delivery of 100 Stearmans for use in the BCATP but the -40*C winters made them useless.
