Made some real progress today, even after stuffing up completely the first decal I went to put on. So after they are all applied, I am going to have to mask up and paint the coroguard on after all. This A380 is on final approach now and the runway lights are clear.







As I'll have to paint it on now, anyone got a tip for the FS numbers for a good match to the coroguard?

As I said on Facebook Troy, this looks really good. I like it a lot, and I'm now trying to resist pulling my own kit out of the stash!

Your A.380 is looking really nice.

I don't know that Corogard has an FS number. It's a protective metallic paint that most airliners seem to use these days. I have plenty of it made up and ready to use but I don't know that I could sent it to you without breaking postal regulations or something like that.

Thanks guys. I just bit the bullet masked and painted up the coroguard areas. I've gone with a grey that should look the part. I'll post a pic one the masks are off.

Ray, seeing it with the decals on, I can see it's been worth the effort. It's still nowhere near my best paint job, but it looks the goods and I'm happy enough with it for now. Thanks for the encouragement everyone.

As promised. Though maybe a little darker than I'd have liked, I'll leave it be.


Tonight, if I can get the garage warm, I'll seal what I have done and finish the walkway lines later in the week.

I masked up and painted on the walkway lines last night. It came out sweet.





Now all that's left is to seal it all in a few more coats of future and she will be ready for delivery to her new home.
