The greatest scratch builders

Postby Adam the Akrodude » Tue Jul 21, 2015 9:20 am

In Paul's Chippie topic, mention was made of some great modelling done by dentists. Their professional skills come in great use in modelling - plus they must have some wicked tools and techniques. Greatest scratch modelling skills with aluminium I've every seen were those of the late Young C. Park. This is pure modelling as a art form.

I seriously bow supremely low in honour of these phenomenal skills. Here am I whinging about poor fit and sink marks on the Trumpeter 262 kit - lame Adam, LAME!

Oh I totally agree! This gentleman is I believe a member of A/CAM as well - "airscale"! I thoroughly enjoyed his Sea Fury build - humbling really. I starting watching his builds at Large Scale Planes forum.

I am in complete awe of his skills. I also use his fine instrument decals and bezels as well - pure genius! :D

Cheers

Yeah, that's Peter Castle from airscale. A member here, but also a significant contributor (and sponsor) on LSP.
