Some of my real aircraft photos.

Here are some of my pics from days gone by. I'll try to remember where and when these shots were taken. First up is an Airabonita replica taken at Festival of Flight 2011 at Caboolture.

Image

Next up is a DH-60 Moth.

Image

Next an Evektor LSA.

Image

A Waco of some kind departing Caboolture for Watts Bridge.

Image

An immaculate Cessna 195B.

Image

Some kids enjoying themselves playing in the propwash of an Antonov An-2.

Image

A close up of a Waco cabin biplane.

Image

Now a close up of a Waco open cockpit biplane.

Image

An on ground close up of that earlier red and white Waco before its departure. The Red and white Cessna 195B was having difficulties starting. It had a flat battery which was later changed and she also departed for Watts Bridge a couple of hours later.

Image

Another pic of that red and white Waco cabin with some sun rays shining near it. Unfortunately I'd left my 100-400mm lens at home on this trip so 75-300 mm was the best I had.

Image

A beautiful Piper Pacer arriving at Caboolture.

I'll post some more over the next day or so.

RHB.

Great pics mate. That yellow AN-2 was based at Lilydale airport. Not sure if it's still there. Bloody big aeroplane that's for sure. I have a kit to do that actual aircraft one day :)

Thank you Paul. As far as I know in 2011 the An-2 was based at Archerfield. It belongs to two brothers, both airline pilots. I have some more of it somewhere, both at Caboolture and at Watts Bridge. Those kids were having the time of their lives just letting the slipstream wash over them.

Love these pic's - love that cream Waco in particular!

That yellow An-2 Anushka lives down in Lilydale now. I looked into going for a ride in it. You can actually get endorsed on it if you want (and have the money). It's about $1200.00/hour. It's a beast to taxi in a wind apparently due to that enormous "barn door" fin/rudder. Controls are pretty heavy I was advised. Still it is so wonderful to watch when flying around Melbourne on it's joy flights - never ever fails to draw my eyes skyward when hearing it's ASh-62 engine clack away!

Cheers

another Chippie did I hear you say? How about this one? I took this at Festival of Flight 2011 at Caboolture. I hope you fellows like her and for Tor here are a couple of better side on views of that Chippie at Luskintyre.

In a word - lovely!

So many models to build, so many beautiful aeroplanes to fly - not enough time!

Cheers
