Yeah we are a pack of bitches ...but bitches who clearly got it right where this issue is concerned :D . And if you don't swear allegiance to VLATs/LATs you will be relentlessly hunted down and sent to VLAT/LAT re-education camp, (sponsored by A/CAM of course) :D

Knotty wrote:Great to see them back in the country. I remember a certain bloke on that other site telling us in no uncertain terms that there were no Sky cranes in the country. When I pointed out that we in fact had one at Essendon , and one at Ballarat .......there was no response!!!  and on top of all this , the person concerned was supposedly the air craft fire director for the CFA in Victoria . Now I'm just a simple man , but I would of thought that if anyone would know these Aircraft were here ,it would be him !!!  All a bit embarrassing really .......

Yeah.....I remember that Knotty. You are right....very embarrassing indeed for the individual concerned. Didn't do much for the credibility of that side of the debate, that's for sure.

Just wondering, does this "Re-education camp" involve fishing activities?

That is just all sorts of "kick arse" AWESOME !!! :D
Part of your re-education will include being strapped to a chair and forced to watch the movie "Always" in IMAX format and surround sound :D
And then when you are not watching cool VLAT/LAT movies, you will be forced to watch this

Gawd! There goes my mornings work! Now I have to try to locate that Air Racers movie! Has anyone bought this DVD?

Damn you to Hell TOR! This is seriously cutting into my "profitability" today. We've launched 1/32 Racer "Nukes" at each other in the past and now it appears you've just launched a "pre-emptive" DVD nuke strike on me - ARRGGHHH!

Now what in the hell can I retaliate with - HMMMMM? This is a lame counter-attack, as it's no doubt going to happen anyway, but -

OK - here goes. I do know you are seriously thinking of purchasing 2 x Fisher 1/32 Pitts Specials - you know deep down you must do this to be a true 1/32 aficionado! Surely there is another 1/32 or even 1/24th Fisher kit you could purchase to top up the order? How about that 1/24 Bugatti 100P? Purchase this and you will indeed be the King of the Kits Castle - well until EricG purchases those HpH 1/48 Concorde and "Cecil" kits! Why not purchase one of those HpH Concordes too? We all know how much you love the Concorde! How can you stand by and let these rare purchasing opportunities potentially pass on by? Time for a big treat - new job - just sayin' is all! :D

I REALLY want a Fisher 1:32 Pitts and "September Fury".....thanks for forcing me back to that dreaded site Adam :? . Do you get a spotters fee or something???
The Air Racers movie is highly recommended, (just outstanding "aeroporn" for any air race fan) . Knotty and myself got to see this high-paced, adrenalin-pumped doco-movie at the IMAX theatre in the USAF Museum Dayton, Ohio, (can't think of a better place to watch this kind a movie.....surrounded by famous aeroplanes of all shapes and sizes :D ). Not sure if it is out on DVD, but if it is, it would be well worth getting a copy.
Here is another good Air Racing movie with all our favourite "stars", (gotta love Voodoo!!!).

As much as I would love a 1:48 Concorde, where the hell would I put it :?

PS: and speaking of good movies....check this out. All the best things in life in one little film :D

:D, How about MATS; Medium Air Tankers. I've just seen some pics somewhere of a Dash 8-400 in Securitie Civile colours dropping retardant on a fire somewhere in France. You couldn't call a Dash 8 a LAT or a VLAT so how about a new category of MAT. Canadair or Bombardier CL415s would also fit into this new category. Does bringing this subject up mean I have to go to "re-edumbcation camp" sponsored by A/CAM?                                   Perhaps the site could be renamed MAT/LAT/VLAT/A/CAM or something similar. I'll just grab my coat and hat and be off now to Camp No. 38 in the middle of the Simpson Desert.

Regards,
RHB.

No I don't think re-education is required here. You're suggesting another name/class of air tankers - you could perhaps become a senior lecturer at the proposed A/CAM MAT/LAT/VLAT "Re-education" camp, not a inmate!

How about instead of A/CAM MAT/LAT/VLAT, we just call it "Things that fly and do stuff" or "Aerosexuals Anonymous".
