I have been tinkering away at these for a little while, they are both original tool Airfix kits.
The first is a C-130A firebomber for the Angels of Mercy display (if it happens) which I started a while ago (green plastic). Originally I was not going to do much with the flight deck.
But then I was given a part-started kit and decided to fill the flight deck out, the second kit is the mustard plastic which had been started to be converted to an AC-130A
I added cabinets and consoles from scratch using a DekLs C-130 interior decal sheet that had templates to make these up, of course, the Zvezda kit includes these parts so you don't have to make them. I also replaced the instrument panels with spare Italeri items and make new control yokes.
The C-130A buttoned up and some filling done
The second will be an HC-130N which is a Combat SAR aircraft or as the USAF website puts it 'dedicated fixed-wing Personnel Recovery platform' in an early livery.
I am also using Italeri props for the HC-130 and kit props for the C-130A. You can see the difference in shape here. They have been modified to fit the Airfix wing and still be rotatable
I am using the wings from the first kit on the HC-130 as the fuel tank slots had been filled on the HC-130's kit wings, wings are now on the HC-130, and some more filling is to be sanded away
Putty tidied up, rear control surfaces fitted and props test fitted
