6 sleeps to Duxford Flying Legends..
every year before departing to the UK I try to finish models on the bench then tidy it up before I go.
The TEAL DC-6 is almost finished, I have to do some decal touch touch ups, weathering and antenna placements... this will wait til I get back (This was a conversion requiring a section of forward fuselage to be cut out, plus astrodome and under fuselage nav gear fairing to be added)
I stuffed up the decal application on the Ansett bird, I have ordered new ones to finish when I get back (after adjusting the white to silver demarcation lines..part of the decal problem)
the DC-7C fuselage sits to one side.. lots of work to go into that bastard before it is finished!
the bench is as tidy as it ever gets... when I do have it like this and actually have some bench space I like to caress and fondle the stash, having a look at the plastic. under the bench are the next projects I will start when I get back Sunderland to Sandringham conversion and Lancaster to York conversion.
Unseen elsewhere are other in progress builds a Nitto L1011 and a Williams Bros C-46
after 3 months in UK I'll be raring to go!
