OK......so time for a bit of an update on this project.
So everything I need has now arrived including the
26 Decals 1:144th Boeing 707 Aer Lingus decals, (which are just lovely), and the F-16 receivers.

.
I was planning on using the ancient and very much 1st generation "after market" Sasquatch resin 1:144th P&W JT3D-3B turbo fan engines for this project but they are so utterly woeful and horribly-cast as to be simply unusable. I will therefore source some engines from a Revell 707/C-135 kit.
Sasquatch after-market resin engines The 1:144th 707 itself is actually a hybrid of several different kits including Minincraft, Welsh, and Revell. This hybrid approach is necessary to achieve an accurate 1:144 Boeing 707-300, as the only manufacturer to have produced a truly accurate 707-300 in this scale to date is
Authentic Airliners, (a beautiful resin kit.....but expensive!!!).
As may be seen, some preliminary construction has already started, (also...note the refuelling boom that has been sourced from a Revell 1:144 KC-135 kit) .
Anyway....this is where we are at with the project. I will update as it progresses.
