Another retro QF 737

Postby hrtpaul » Wed Nov 11, 2015 1:32 pm

Just a heads up. Looks like there'll be another retro 737 around soon. It looks like it'll be in a scheme similar to this from what I can see

Hopefully have some pics when it leaves the shed :)

There is apparently talk of introducing a new retro-jet livery every year between now the centenary of the airline. This would possibly encompass such schemes as the TAA 70s scheme, (perhaps on a Qantaslink 717), the TAA 80s "Carmel Hump", scheme,(possibly on an A330-200) , and the Australian Airlines TN and AO schemes. None of this has been confirmed however. The new retro jet scheme will be rolled out next week (16th November) to commemorate the airline's 95th birthday. So many wonderful modelling opportunities :D

That's magnificent!!

The nice thing about models is that I can make the original 707 version, so I might pass on the new decal sheet when it comes out next week (or whenever).

Not gonna put my pics up as there are way better ones on the net. Already acquired a 737 from Honest Graeme's Model Emporium for said aircraft ;)
