I doubt we could ever call the A-10 a Greyhound. I think Hawg is appropriate for this one with that great big fang at its nose. What would be worse for an enemy than one huge fang in the nose? Two huge fangs in the nose of course. Now my imagination really is running out of control.

I have just finished watching World War Z again. I am disappointed to report that the A-10s did nothing to stop the zombie hoards , (that 30mm cannon should have been taking down zombies by the 100s).
And even more shocking .....it was a friggen Airbus that saved our hero (Brad Pitt), thus saving humanity. A friggen Airbus!!!!!

I was intrigued as to how the An-12 morphed back and forth between being a C-130 as well. Guess film makers know that only a tiny fraction of viewers are aviation nerds like us huh, so who cares!

Yeah, what about drooping some nape on those zombies or flame throwers, or using a shit load of machine guns would also do the trick or lobbing some JDAM's at them! Maybe this is why the USAF is just over the A-10?

Who knows - F-35 may be fitted with a "Laser" one day. 30mm depleted Uranium shells are just so 20th Century man!

Bugs being fixed - just like in 100% of every military aircraft program since the Wrights sold a couple of their aeroplanes to the US Army! Marines are using theirs - already offering substantial improvement over the Harrier. By the time I'm finished with my mind altering program, you will have sold your entire stash of F-4's and replaced it with 100+ F-35 kits in all scales! You will like the F-35, you will like the F-35, you will like the F-35!

Oh ye of little faith. Didn't you know that if it's on tele or in the movies it must be true. After all the US Navy once landed a Herc on and took off from the Forrestal (I think it was). The only mod they had to do was to make reverse pitch available whilst still in the air before touchdown. An-12s also have reversible pitch props and a slightly shorter wingspan than the Herc so why not?
