Bombardier Global Express

I trundled down to Essendon today to do some work and this is what I found sitting in the Executive Jets area. It was there when I arrived but had gone when I left at about 2.30. I see that it is registered to Wells Fargo Bank. My guess is that it was used by the folks that flew that supermodel in to Melbourne for a brief visit. If you ask me the Bombardier looks more beautiful than the model, but that may be age talking. I must make some more bizjets real soon now.

Heidi sure had a nice ride! Plenty of room for supermodel lingerie pillow fights on-board - oh God help me!

Hmm, interesting comment.

I think Heidi would have been designed pre-AutoCAD using a French Curve on a drafting board. I was thinking perhaps off the drafting board from Skunk Works at Lockheed - from Kelly Johnson's era. If Heidi was a jet, she'd be a SR-71.

Why?

Super sexy
Plenty of curves
Mysterious
Exotic
Fast and high flying
Extremely high maintenance!

Leigh,

I've spent some time in the northern suburbs of Melbourne since before Christmas (estate duties) and in the last couple of weeks I noticed a 'very' large (by my reckoning at least) biz jet with rear fuselage mounted engines and winglets. I am a bit rusty on the current generation of biz jets and wondered what on earth it was I was seeing. The image up in the first post in this thread pretty much aligns with what I've sighted from the ground. Once seen overhead and very low in the YMEN RWY 17 LH circuit and again on finals into RWY 27 YMML on different days from different locations. Impressive aircraft.

Good work aircraft spotter Leigh !

Adding to my previous photo taken at Essendon, here is what was sitting on the Executive Airlines apron last Tuesday afternoon. From the left - Dassault Falcon 900EX N146EX registered to the Wells Fargo Bank at Salt Lake City, Gulfstream G550 registered to the Coca Cola Corp of Atlanta City, Raytheon Premier I VH-VPM of Rate (Australia) of Broadmeadows and N17ND Gulfstream G.V of Jetways Air Services of Muskegon. The two Gulfstreams where on the apron when I wandered past in morning and that was enough fun for the day, but finding the other two there in the afternoon was a very big bonus.

I've got kits for two of these, I must get around to making them real soon now.
