Pietenpol sunset

I took these shots of the little Pietenpol Air Camper just as the sun was going down on the Saturday of Festival of Flight 2008. She didn't move all weekend. This one has a Continental engine of some kind. It's a bit more modern than the original which was designed to have a liquid cooled Ford Model A car engine with a car radiator in front of the pilot like some WW1 German aircraft. Couldn't have done much for the pilot's forward vision during any phase of flight.
