Similar thing occurred to a RAAF 707 when she slid off her jacks while undergoing maintenance at the Qantas Jet Base. :o

Shoulda been a write-off but the RAAF insisted she be fixed.
Dam thing never flew straight after this, ( she always needed a couple of degrees rudder deflection just to keep her in a straight line :D ) .
TOR
PS: missed the rear pressure bulkhead by less than an inch

Oh that is a doozie Ray. That rudder trim correction must have added a bit to the fuel burn.

I wouldn't say it's a write off Knotty, seen worse and the planes have returned to the sky.
I was told that many moons ago, one of the 34 Sqn HS748's came off it's nose jack. They were lucky that it just went up the radome. There's also a couple of pictures getting around of, IIRC, a Lufthansa heavy, can't remember which one, that someone didn't lock off the wing jacks and over night the jacks relaxed. The end result was a banana shaped fuselage. Having been involved in maintenance for years, I've been shown a few incidents like these.
