Here are some HARS pictures, I was not at Albion Park on the day but watched OJA overfly our hotel at about 7:40.

Plenty of images out on Facebook for the landing I see.

We got there today on our way home. Had a very interesting 2 hours tour of the hangars and could crawl into one of the Neppies if we wanted.

We were told OJA would not be open to the public for a couple of months while the aircraft was made safe. 3 good engines will be removed and replaced with time expired ones in the coming weeks.

Inside we got to see the collection

The C-54 is a still a work in progress with one proposed paint scheme having TAA scheme on one side and Ansett on the other. It will be fitted out with a pax interior as well.

I met up with an old friend, I spent 4 years working on this air frame at 2OCU and 77SQN

Great set of photos Ray.
Isn't that the Mirage that was located down here at Essendon for a while???
And what is the aircraft type you are standing under while taking the shot of the C-54???

Yes Ray, it was at Essendon. It is on loan to HARS. If the HARS guys can get a Mirage 'tool kit' they will try and get it to a taxiing state. Apparently the owner still wants to try and get it flying.

We were standing under a Neptune when I tool the C-54 picture.

Oh I forgot to mention, if anyone has a few spare $$$ HARS are looking to repaint the Connie, they have had it for 10 years now.
