For those that may have missed the show last time, this is a long way off at the moment, but these things catch us out very quickly some times, keep an eye out for dates, I will try to keep updated

Lucky Townsville!
Just correcting their major, Melbourne has in fact been lucky enough to witness the Thunderbirds - over Brighton Beach back in the late 80's. Remember it well, snuck away from work to watch. Very little publicity, they just came, put on one amazing display over the beach and that was it. I'm very glad risking getting told off by the boss at the time and having this special memory.

That Melbourne display would have been 1988, Adam. I went out to Tulla with a mate the night before, and saw the aircraft in the hangars.....from the access road.
That day, we were about to form up for the cadet unit/AIRTC final parade, and I told my FSGT that I'd actually met them, and let them know our parade was on, and that they'd said they might do a fly-by for us........complete bollocks, of course, but it sounded good.... He, naturally, didn't believe me.......until they flew right over the top of my school :D

Let's hope that bloody smoke doesn't return next time Graeme!

It wasn't smoke Tony, it was dust, mostly SA, with a little bit of NSW and Vic thrown in

Ah the come at you from behind while you watch the pair in front sneak pass, yes it did scare the daylights out of about 99% of the crowd, and who could forget the Thunder birds themselves, have some photos somewhere, but I think you got better ones
