One for Someone (and other Lovers of Airbus Engineering!)

If you ever wondered how Airbus stuffed up the first 20 or so A380s this might help you understand ...

I was just going through my old portable hard drive in preparation for migrating it to a new one and found a Document from Airbus on the A3XX (which of course became the A380). Anyway in a Table where they propose three variants -50, -100, and -200 three lengths are listed first in Metric and then in Imperial. They are as follows :
-50 70.5 m 222' 10"
-100 73.0 m 239' 6"
-200 79.4 m 260' 4"
So what you might say? Well you don't have to look really close or be reasonably good at converting Imperial to Metric to notice that the -50 isn't that much shorter in Metric to be much of a difference to the -100 especially when compared with the increase in length from the -100 to the -200. However when you convert the Imperial to Metric the most probably true length of the -50 is revealed as follows :
-50 70.5 m 222' 10" 67.9 m
-100 73.0 m 239' 6" 73.0 m
-200 79.4 m 260' 4" 79.4 m
In other words someone stuffed up putting down the length of the -50 in Metric!

OK not much of a Joke I know but I'm sure someone out there will probably cack himself laughing ...
