I love my new job......on behalf of my owners, I get to go and make an offer on this little beastie tomorrow :D .

If we buy it, she will be converted to a certified cabin trainer....first of her type in the country.
I never got to buy aeroplanes with my previous employer.

More's the pity
we could have had B777's doing the daily Mt Isa Hobart direct run.

Looks a nice buy in that photo, does it still look that good?, is it a goer? or has it been a hanger Queen for a while?
I assume it will be ground based anyway.

Yep....you can just bet there would have been a sizeable 777 fleet if I had been signing the cheques for QF :D
After a long career with operators such as Shortstop Jet Charters, the Citation (VH-PSM) has reached the end of her life, and is now almost entirely parted-out with all avionics, engines, etc gone.

I will have a clearer picture this morning when I check her out, but I am led to believe she is essentially a bare cabin. All going well, she will have a new lease of life with us performing a vital role as a certified Safety/Emergency Cabin Trainer....a noble cause for any retired aeroplane.

Dude, your job sounds like crap! Ah, who the hell am I kidding - ME JEALOUS MUCH!

What a great result for this Citation - it will continue to be of use to the aviation industry rather than be scrapped - very cool! Hmm, wonder what the wings could be used for - make a cool roof for a veranda! :D

A fitting end for the old girl
Back in the day we did something similar with a SH 3-30
After parting it out, donated it to the ADF who put a wooden floor in it and used it for SAS training
They loved it, and were very grateful for it.
Probably the best thing that a SH 3-30 could ever do in retirement.
