That will be a cracker of a talk! Closest I got to a 111 was sitting in the ARDU bird many years ago. I'll try to make this one. Thanks for the heads up!

Cheers

Adam

You need to book, no walk ups. And I've been told bring a camera for some very close up photos of the A/C.

Cheers Troy. I'll check with the "boss" on a leave pass next Friday! PCK is such a special place - love visiting there.

It was a great night and I took heaps of photos, but can't upload them until my computer finishes its update.

Wish I had brought my copy of "controversy to cutting edge" as the author was one of the speakers. Very informative night.

Sadly I had to miss this :-( Just too much happening at home to get away Friday night. Glad you had a great time Troy. I've been lucky enough to have a chat to a couple of ex-111 pilots over the years. One I once competed with in Intermediate at a aerobatic comp. He showed me just how Intermediate should be flown, unlike my very "average" attempts! . It was like he was on rails such was the precision of his flying. On the ground under the shade of a wing he told he almost killed himself and his Nav at Red Flag by almost flying into a hill once. Such is the mental workload at this exercise. I will always be impressed by just how big the 111 is - what a machine it was!

Thanks very much for the pic's too!

Cheers

Adam

Apparently you have to be a "Friend" of the Museum to get into these lectures now.

Didn't know that. Probably done to control/limit numbers at PCK. Can't blame the museum for doing this. I just joined - seems good value at $30! I regret missing that lecture! Dad had to take a "hit" for the fam that night!

I am not a "Friend" of the Museum, yet, though it is something I plan to be next year, and I had no problem buying a ticket and they knew I wasn't a member when I booked.
