Damo's recent step into spin training got me thinking about the legendary Neil Williams, one time British aerobatic champion and the author of the book "Aerobatics" - a bible for those of us interested in this subject. Neil basically taught himself how to do spins - and lived! Neil though tragically died in a Spanish He-111 along with his wife and a engineer when ploughing into a mountain back in 1977. He was a brilliant aerobatics pilot and one time recovered a Zlin that had a failed mainspar - one of the most amazing feats of flying I've ever read.

Here is Neil in MH434 - perhaps one of the most detailed descriptions of what it is like to fire up a Spitfire and blast off into the burning blue. Sit back, relax and turn the sound up to 11!
