A good sped-up GoPro video of QANTAS aircraft being turned around on the ramp.

I think this would be a case of 'Where's Knotty?' or 'Where's Pauly?', eh ? Not exactly your turf, eh, Ray ?

So these are the kind of productivity improvements that QANTAS ground staff have been put up to ? Sheeeesh !

Hang on - maybe Ray had to give permission for this to be done ?

Ray ?

Look at all the work the engineers are doing. I did see a couple of pilots sitting on their arses in there too

Unfortunately Nicolas, it is all my "turf" weather I like it or not, (for now). The joy of the Airport Manager gig :? .
When things go wrong on ANY turn-a-round, (above or below the wing), it is usually my phone that's ringing.
That's not bragging, (I wish it was), that's just the way it is. I just wish I was issued with that "magic wand" that I am apparently supposed to have, (it would be handy for such things as fixing broken aeroplanes, tugs, and baggage belts).
TOR
PS: I wish things ran as smoothly as portrayed in the "movie"

Yes, I realise it's frequently a case of what can go wrong, will go wrong - too often. In my experience (as self loading baggage), it happens all too often with Jetstar than Virgin. But that's not often the fault of the troops on the ground, rather it's the systems of work and constraints applied from above.
