When it comes to critiquing the 35 both in looks and performance, I'd like to quote from one of the greatest movie USAF General's ever - Gen, "Buck" Turgidson from Dr. Strangelove.
"I think I'd like to hold off judgment on a thing like that, sir, until all the facts are in...I don't think it's quite fair to condemn the whole program because of a single slip up, sir."
Admittedly the 35 is a strange looking flying beast, but to me there is just something about the "fluidity" of it's shaping giving it an almost animal like appearance from certain angles.
You can read GAO reports on the 35 or listen to what the pilots themselves are saying about the 35 - I choose the later.
I just don't get all this criticism before "all the facts are in".
