Nice mustang picture, but it does nothing to support your position.

Bahahaha...I AM getting it off my chest. I love your stuff. It's a scream.

Contact the DoD...you'd get more traction.
Display your superior research capabilities there. They'd love you.

Lovely 'Stang.

Your superior intellect, logic and knowledge on aviation matters has defeated me once again! I will contact my local MP tomorrow and demand the immediate cancellation of the F-35, or they risk loosing my vote in the next election! I am now delaying purchasing the 1/48 Kittyhawk F-35A until the F-35 proves itself worthy of my modelling skills

KittyHawk F-35? Are you kidding Adam?

This is coming from the AMI report 06072013, so its less than 3 years old, of course every kit has teething issues, but not every kit costs $75 for R&D and procurement.
7,500.00c - seven thousand five hundred cents. For that price I could build 10 x 1/144 F-15's at about 7 bucks and change each.

(Sorry - Just couldn't resist...although if they canx the F-35 project tomorrow, won't I look silly with one of those in the stash when I could have had all those magnificent F-15s).

At the point where you aren't discussing the counter points presented, the discussion is over so you can be as sarcastic as you like, it's not reflecting poorly on me. If you did want to read the GAO report though, it is online.

I guess my cavalier attitude to such a serious discussion is unwarranted especially on such a vitally important subject as Australia's defence.
Luckily you make up for all that with such well informed discussion which will no doubt foment much self-analysis in the corridors of power & plastic.
I salute you & wish you well in future discussions.

Please do continue to wax lyrical about any other stuff of great importance.
"Get it off your chest" as the Crew Lounge is the place to do it.

Bless you BH. You a funny bloke.

Salty - you are a genius! Ah, the cream does indeed rise to the surface! It's that thinking outside the box I like Sir! I just never thought I could get almost a squadron of F-15's for the price of just one lousy P.O.S F-35. Hannants here I come! Maybe I'll paint them all up in WIF civvy Reno racing schemes? How cool would that be!
Another thought on this matter (must stop this sometime soon before I loose the last remaining fraction and semblance of sanity remaining!), when Obama finishes reading the GAO F-35 report (must be great bedtime reading!), he will surely cancel the F-35 program. Now, if he channels that $400 Billion into buying 1/144 F-15 kits, that means every man, woman and child in USA can have over 190 1/144 F-15 kits each - how's that for boosting the entire US populations' model stash! This has another benefit I think in storing all those evil carbon atoms that could otherwise be fouling our atmosphere in the form of styrene plastic! This could in fact be the ultimate carbon sink! Look - see how many evil carbon atoms we can store in styrene - there's a shit load of 'em! C6H5CH=CH2
Oh, and can someone please send a padded van to my place - I think my brain just exploded! AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!

I'll reserve my judgement on the F35 until I see one in Tiger Stripes.
