Could be Wally. Chatting to a former 105 pilot, he believes it was the former F-4 driver community in the Pentagon that was behind torpedoing the 105 project that the Collings Foundation was hoping to proceed with. Collings would have taken on 100% any liability - just wanted a couple of airframes that could have been refurbished. Suffice to say, there was a lot of politics involved and sad it never went ahead.
