Germanwings tragedy

I'm sure I share with all A/CAMers a feeling of shock and great sadness at the loss of life in this most awful event. My thoughts go out to all the families and friends of those lost.

I too am most saddened by this latest aviation tragedy, (it really has been a shocker of a 12 months). To know that it was allegedly a deliberate act makes this event even harder to accept. Unfortunately there is a history of this type of occurrence in our industry......Silk Air, Egypt Air, and now German Wings. We try to mitigate, as best as we can, most risks and dangers in aviation, but I just don't know how you can prevent this particular sort of tragedy. My hearts goes out to the innocent victims of this murderous act, may they rest in peace.
