The wheels are from a Cubcraft Cub that was in for maintenance....nice looking aircraft, too. The owner had just removed the tundra tyres and replaced them with standard tyres..
They don't weigh all that much, given they're mostly air...
Sadly, they forgot to change the tyres on the Foxbat..
Pretending to do it TAC style with the big boys since 1987
Also, we don't need no steenkin' VLATs!

Thanks for that info Damo, any chance of a photo of the Cub or the reason why the Tundra tyres were removed?

'fraid not on both counts, Wayne...and normally I photograph anything interesting in that hangar!
On the other hand, I got a couple of shots of A68-199... ;)
